Tanzania
has recognized the essence of low impact tourism to the wildlife
and its habitat. Potentially through inception of new approaches
in Wildlife Management and abandoning the old approaches of
"fences and fines" by recognizing the potentials the communities
around this resource play in the better should they be involved
and really fully participation in the sake of it. The community is
now very much involved in the natural resource management in
Tanzania as the sector is rapidly evolving on competing land uses
and human population building up rapidly. These resources can and
will not persist if ECOTOURISM is not practiced so as to give an
alternative source of income to the communities around these
resources-wildlife and its habitat. Since the inception of new
approach in most parts of Tanzania the rate of wildlife resource
depletion has been decreasing slowly as communities have realized
the fruits of their participation in wildlife management and
conservation.
